Graduated from the Escuela Industrial Rosa de Santa María in Lima, Perú, from The Escuela de Turismo Internacional INCATUR in Caracas, Venezuela, and from as a Pastry Chef in 2000 from Le Cordon Blue Culinary School in the United States, Chef Tobar has been in the cake decorating industries for over four decades. With a vast knowledge and skillset in the cake decorating/baking industry, her skills range from the basic everyday baking to the most complex and advance cake decorating skills. From pipping to hand made sugar art to gravity defying cakes, Chef Tovar is one of the best in the market.
Classes with Chef Tovar are different from the rest, with a semi-private setting, you will be able to ask as many questions as you like. Her teaching style is strict but friendly, since she likes for her students to have a great hands-on learning experience and at the same time be able to answer any doubt the students may have.

In this class you will learn how to prepare buttercream from scratch, recipe will be provided and made on site as well as recipe variations tips provided.
You will learn how to crumb-coat a cake, cover a cake with buttercream, make the buttercream look as if it was fondant (so smooth),
How to add fondant details to a buttercream cake, and how to make rosettes and buttercream pipping decorations.
